702-8761 Katie started Moving Forward in 2004 after the experience of moving her mother from a five-bedroom home of 40 years, to a two-bedroom retirement apartment. It was an enormous challenge. Friends and family repeatedly asked her, “What would your mother have done if you hadn’t been there?” Realizing that there was a huge unmet need in the community, Katie combined her years of project management experience with her passion for helping others, and Moving Forward is the result. As of 2009, Katie and her team of caring individuals have helped over 150 clients. They are known for their non-judgmental sensitivity, compassion and gentle humor. Katie is a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers, the National Association of Professional Organizers and the Senior Care Coalition, where she served on the board for three years. She is a regular speaker with ElderMove Alliance and has been a panelist at the annual Housing Resource Fair. Moving Forward serves the Seattle metropolitan area and would love to serve you! |
